At Wilde Child Horsemanship, we offer a wide variety of services tailored to your specific needs. One of our biggest passions is helping horses in need and educating others on kinder, science-based horsemanship practices. If you're in need of help with your horse - reach out and let's see how we can help!

Desired Service

Training Programs

We offer 30-120 day training programs at our facility in Ash Fork, AZ. We specialize primarily in mustang taming, colt starting, pack horses, and problem horses. Depending on your location, we may also be able to travel to you and work with you and your four-legged partner from the comfort of your own home!

Virtual Coaching

While it is typically more beneficial for us to work with you in person - we also understand it can be hard to find a trainer in your area that you trust. This is why we offer virtual coaching. In just a few simple steps, we will watch videos of you working with your horse, offer professional advice, and assist you in coming up with a training plan. Everyone deserves the opportunity to learn how to work through issues using kinder horsemanship methods - and we'd love to help!

Consignment

Looking to rehome your horse, but don't want to go through the process of marketing, meet and greets, and transport? Well we can do it all for you! With a discounted boarding rate, we will give your horse a tune-up and take on the daunting process of horse sales - only asking for a small consignment fee once your horse is sold!

Surrender/Adopt a Horse

Aside from our training business, we also run a non-profit horse rescue. So if you're looking to surrender your horse to a reputable professional, we will do our best to rehabilitate them, put some training on them, and find them a forever home! Or if you're looking to adopt a horse and provide them with a loving home, check out our RESCUES page to see what we have available!!

Wilde Child Horsemanship's
Training Principles

1) Connection Over Control

Focus on being your horse's partner rather than their boss

2)  There's Always a Solution

Every challenge can be overcome and there are multiple solutions to every problem

3) You Get What You Give

If you only give the bare minimum, you cannot expect more than the bare minimum

4) Emotions are Natural

Emotions are part of being alive. They cannot be controlled, so accept them

5) Hard Work Deserves Payment

Rewards are deserved for a job well done

6) Equipment Doesn't "Fix" Anything

It's all in the training, not the equipment

7) Work w/ the Horse in Front of You

Every day is a new day with new challenges. Work with the horse you have today and don't compare yourself to other teams

8) Less Stress the Better

Calm environments are best for learning

9) Don't Teach What You Don't Know

If you do not understand, neither will the horse

10) There's Always More to Learn

There is no such thing as knowing everything
