Rainbow Heart Clouds

The Rainbow Bridge

When it comes to rescuing horses, sometimes we can't save them all. The kindest thing we can do when they do not have a quality of life is to lay them to rest. This is for all the rescue horses who have touched our hearts and crossed over the Rainbow Bridge.

Knight

Knight escaped from his owner's yard, starving and severely neglected. It took six days for his owner to realize he was missing. Within this time frame, he had been seized by animal control and placed at our rescue. He was the sweetest boy, always ready for attention. Unfortunately, due to his battle with cushings and his hooves damaged beyond repair due to the neglect - it was time to end his suffering.

Sadie

Alongside Knight, Sadie ended up at Wilde Child after enduring extreme neglect. Despite having no teeth, severely overgrown hooves, and a previously broken leg - she still was a kind, gentle soul. The world may have treated her poorly - but that didn't stop her from nuzzling up to us any chance she had.

Nani

Nani was surrendered to the rescue with her pasture mate, Lilo. Both of them were in desperate need of hoof rehab. As Lilo started to recover, we discovered that Nani had DSLD  (Degenerative Suspensory Ligament Disorder) and there was no cure.
